Tips for a Fabulous St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! At Party Host Helpers, we love good party (especially one with a good theme) so this year we’re giving you some of our favorite tips, tricks, and recipes.

St Patrick’s Day was started in order to honor the Patron Saint of Ireland who established monasteries, churches, and schools. There are many legends that established around him such as that he drove the snakes out of Ireland and used the shamrock to explain the Trinity.

Today, we use the shamrock and the color green to represent the holiday which is widely celebrated. We have some ideas for your which utilize the traditional colors and icons of the holiday beyond dying your beer green.

Honeydew Martini from Mix that Drink

party staff for hire

This simple drink is tasty, and so simple to create. All you need to do is mix the ingredients below over ice and pour into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange. We love how this drink is delish and represents the colors of the flag of Ireland.

  • 3 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Midori
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec

Another tasty drink from Mix that Drink is the Gold Emerald Shooter recipe. This shooter is super cute because not only is it green, but it has gold in it as well! The perfect St. Patty’s shooter and only three ingredients!

  • 1/2 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Goldschläger
  • 1/2 ounce Midori

Reuben Dip

We are obsessed with this appetizer idea! It is a spin on a classic St. Patrick’s Day meal and is great for sharing. Check it out and don’t forget to serve it with tasty, warm bread. Yum!

Emerald Isle Dip

This is another fabulous dip that is always a hit parties. We love how it incorporates the shamrock and it sounds so tasty too. Pair it with crackers or veggies for something fresh. It is sure to impress and we bet it tastes as good as it looks!

Decor

Nothing spices up a party more than a little decor. Anyone with a Pinterest knows that! We have a few ideas from HGTV that we wanted to share. Our favorites are the lucky banner and the burlap wreath.

Kid Craft Ideas

We think it’s great when the kids are incorporated too at your party too! So have them do these fun DIY’s. We think the rainbow suncatcher and this shamrock fingerprint craft would look so sweet on your refrigerator. The best part? They are easy and not that messy. That is a win in our book.
