Christmas Traditions across the Nation

The holiday season is here! Party Host Helpers staff and hosts are getting into the holiday spirit nationwide. We are sharing with you some of our favorite traditions from drinks to food to things to do! Check them out below.


Austin, TexasBad Santa at Miracle on 5th 

 This cocktail is from the holiday pop-up attached to the Roosevelt Room (typically the Elenor) It included mulled red wine, Taylor 10 yr tawny port, Grand Marnier, spices and golden raisins. It is the perfect blend of naughty and nice!


Arizona- Tumbleweed Christmas Tree

 This one you have to see to believe! Each year the city of Chandler builds a towering Christmas tree out of tumbleweeds, complete with lights and a shiny star on top. 


California- Holiday boat parade

Boat parades are the way many towns along the coast celebration season. In San Francisco, as many as 100 boats all decked out motor along Fisherman's Wharf and throughout cities statewide.


Ohio- Buckeyes

One of our favorite traditions comes from the state of Ohio and is named after the Ohio State football team. This holiday dessert is homemade with peanut butter and chocolate. Party Host Helpers created a recipe card for you to share or use to make your own!


Philadelphia- Christmas Village 

This Christmas Village will get you into the holiday spirit and help get holiday shopping done. All season long in Love Park, vendors sell treats such as hot chocolate, handmade candies, and gifts.


Chicago- Chicago dog appetizer

It wouldn't be the holidays without plenty of food. Forget the pigs in a blanket, this Chicago inspired app is a hit with guests!


Virginia Beach:  Holiday lights merry mile one the boardwalk

Sightseeing in Virginia Beach is fun all year long but extra festive during the holidays. From 8th Street to 22nd Street, guests can drive through a bright light show and even tune the car radio to hear holiday music synced with the light show. 


NYC Hot chocolate Serendipity

During the holiday season, NYC visitors line up for a frozen hot chocolate from the famous Serendipity Restaurant. But why wait in the cold? You can create this frozen hot-chocolate at home and for your guests at any event!
