Throw a Breast Cancer Awareness Brunch with these tips!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This is the perfect opportunity to gather your gal pals and host a brunch to raise awareness, and create an open environment for dialog about breast health! Our Arizona Regional Director, Shawna, has some great ideas that will help you host a memorable get-together this October!

With autumn in full swing, I suggest looking no further thank your own back yard to host this intimate gathering.

First, set up a Passionately Pink® fundraising account through the Susan G. Komen website or simply select an existing event for your guests to contribute.

Next, send out your invites by additionally inviting your guests to schedule their next exam – a friendly reminder never hurt any of us! And don’t forget to mention the PINK dress code will be fully enforced!

Now it’s time to select some fun snacks, cocktails, and a group activity to get the girls gabbing.

Create a breast cancer themed center-piece – Something fun and attention grabbing is as easy as cutting pink cloth into long strips and laying them out in the shape of an awareness ribbon. Top off this display with some tasty pink and red fruit for your guests to enjoy!

Rosé Raspberry Sorbet Mimosas – These are DELICIOUS, and a beautiful pink to go along with the theme. To make these you simply place one small scoop of sorbet into a champagne flute, top with champagne. Garnish with herbs of choice such as Thyme or lavender. Serve immediately.

Classically PINK Lemonade – Another drink option is a refreshing lemonade! In a large pitcher, combine 2 cups white sugar, 9 cups water, 2 cups fresh lemon juice, and 1 cup cranberry juice! Chill and serve over ice!

Mixed Berry French Toast Bake – This is one of my favorite dishes to make for brunch and it goes along with the pink theme perfectly! Click here for this crowd pleasing casserole, that your guests will be raving about.

Pink Rosé & Pistachio Dipped Croissants – This sweet and salty breakfast treat is sure to delight! Click here for this easy DIY recipe.

Pink Pumpkin Painting – This is a great opportunity to pay tribute to a loved one or simply show a symbol of support for those who have and are suffering from Breast Cancer. Choose your favorite shade of pink to paint your pumpkin and then place it atop a candle stick holder or cake plate to give it chic decorative look!

My favorite brunch tip of all is to hire Party Host Helpers! Our team of professional party staff can help setup, serve, refresh drinks and expedite the post party clean up! There’s no need to make sure your guests have full champagne flutes, let us do that for you so you don’t miss a single minute of girl time!
