Labor Day Party Tips

Where, oh where did summer go? With Labor Day right around the corner, there is no better time to throw an end of summer bash with your friends and family! Here are some great, simple ideas to make your party unforgettable!

Fruit Cubes

Great drink choices are a must-have at any party. Take everything up a notch by flavoring your ice! You can pick your favorite fruits and herbs, and pack them into an ice tray with water to freeze a day or two before the event! Not only do they look pretty, but they taste great too!

Slider Bar

Everyone looks forward to enjoying a burger on Labor Day weekend. For your party, let your guests create their own! Arrange all the condiments and toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and pickles into bowls. You can take everything up a notch by adding extra items like jalapenos, roasted peppers, hot sauce and different types of mustard. Because the burgers are smaller, your guests can make a few and add different toppings to each one!

Add a Touch of Red, White and Blue!

A Labor Day party is incomplete without a few patriotic décor items. Try spray painting the inside of some mason jars with blue and/or red paint. Once dry, you can throw in some of your favorite white flowers from your local grocery store, and finish with a ribbon or flag. Super easy, and it looks great as a centerpiece.

Dessert Skewers

Dessert skewers are great because your guests can create their own, and it cuts down on the clean up time. Whip up a batch of your favorite baked goods such as brownies, and cut into small pieces. Fill bowls with different types of fruit like strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple. Add a few additional items for fun like marshmallows, mini donuts, icing, and sprinkles. Place some skewer sticks on the table and let your guests add their favorite items!

Sparkler Stands

Who would have thought that red solo cups could double as sparkler stands? Simply cut a small hole in the base of the cup, flip it over, and place a sparkler through the hole. To finish the night with a bang, line the cups up on a table, light the sparklers and enjoy!

Now that your ready for you next party, don’t forget to book a Party Host Helper to serve your guests (and you!) so you can sit back and enjoy the great time you worked hard to make happen!
