Best Grad Party Tips for 2019

When it comes to helping out at party, Party Host Helpers has servers and bartenders that are experienced and amazing at what they do. So when it comes to planning a party for your grad, we can take care of you day of so you can focus on celebrating. Not only that, but today we’re giving event tips that will make your graduate’s party, the best night of their life!

Tip 1:
Grad parties come after prom and before students go off to college, so there are a limited number of weekend dates available. Check with your grad prior to picking a date so that you don’t accidentally schedule their party the same day as their best friend.

Tip 2:
Choose dishes that are tasty, yet filling! After all, who do you know that’s hungrier than eighteen year old boys and girls? That’s why we suggest having appetizers such as soft pretzels or sliders and main dishes like mac & cheese and pulled pork. Yum!
If you’re looking to have the event catered, why not use a food truck? It is a great idea for grad parties because its nice weather and has that “wow” factor!

Tip 3:
Highlight your grad throughout the party. This is their day so put little touches throughout the party that are just about them. We suggest planning the menu around their favorite food and of course, setting up pictures! A cute way to do this is by putting up a wall with all their school pictures throughout the years.
If you’re looking for a little something extra, you can get customized cocktail napkins or even put their names on M&Ms!

Tip 4:
What better way to entertain in the spring than outdoor games? You can set up anything from volleyball to giant jenga.

Tip 5:
Have a unique guest book! Guest books are a special way to remember the day for years to come. There are many ways to do this but a few we love are a painted globe, Polaroids, and puzzle pieces.

Tip 6:
Use graduation itself as a theme by decorating with tassels and making “edible diplomas”. You can do these by filling crepes with hazelnut and rolling them up with a ribbon for a diploma effect.

Tip 7:
When it comes to dessert, a cute, new idea is to have a donut bar. Use various flavors of donuts, along with different flavors of frosting and types of toppings to create a tasty treat which everyone will love.

Tip 8:
Our last tip is to hire event staff to help out the day of. When you’re hosting at home, we highly recommend staying organized, planning in advance, and hiring Party Host Helpers so your event is successful. The best part? We take care of the dishes.

When know that when you’re celebrating your grad, you don’t want to spend time running around taking care of refreshing the buffet and drink station when you should be celebrating your child’s achievements! That’s where we come in.
